| >7 GW sold / >10 GW pipeline — NVIDIA takes equity in Cloverleaf’s powered land |
• Cloverleaf said on Aug. 21 that NVIDIA made a minority investment alongside a development partnership, and will run NVIDIA’s DSX platform to pull site, power, cooling and compute decisions earlier into design. Amount, valuation, ownership, projects and committed MW were all undisclosed. |
• The Journal puts NVIDIA’s investment at several hundred million dollars, and Cloverleaf at more than 7 GW of powered land already sold — including Wisconsin sites for Oracle and OpenAI — against a pipeline above 10 GW. Backed by Sandbrook and NGP, it raised $300M at its 2024 launch. |

| 482 MW / $4.0–$4.5B — Kentucky clears TeraWulf’s Hancock County campus | |
• The Kentucky PSC approved the retail electric service agreement on Aug. 21 and TeraWulf announced it Aug. 24: up to 482 MW for the Justified Data Campus on the former Century Aluminum Hawesville site, where roughly 482 MW of transmission capability was left behind when the smelter closed. |
• TeraWulf carries the market, transmission and delivery costs of its own load, plus customer-specific infrastructure and credit support; Big Rivers and Kenergy collect negotiated adders. At $10M–$12M per MW of critical IT load, it puts site work and the first data halls at $4.0B–$4.5B, before tenant compute. |
