
Lukoil foreign assets in Carlyle deal

Carlyle beats out other rumored suitors (Chevron and Quantum)
Lukoil has agreed to sell most of its foreign assets to Carlyle Group, in one of the largest sanctions-era energy divestments to date. The deal, announced Thursday, covers LUKOIL International GmbH — which holds upstream/downstream assets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Mexico — and remains subject to OFAC approval.
